Happy New Year to you and yours!

Last night wrapped up my 4th year as a Board member at the Chicago Yacht Club. 

Over the past year, I have spoken to many people about investing, taxes in retirement and their lives purpose. I truly believe that finding one’s purpose in life is the best thing that could happen for you.

As we enter into the holiday season, I can’t help but feel extremely grateful.

The other night something amazing happened... Well, a couple of things...

The Retire As You Desire Podcast grew in August. Thank you to everyone who listened and sent the show to your friends and family.

Yesterday was a great day. Not only for me, but for two of my clients.

Yesterday I received the number of downloads the Retire As You Desire Podcast received for the month of July. 326.

When you lose something in life, sometimes it is hard to regroup after that. The band, Journey, lost their lead singer, Steve Perry, left the band.

The other day, I was thinking about life. Throughout the years, I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with many people about life, goals, dreams, and ambitions.
It occurred to me, that a lot of people never reach their goals.

What would you do if you didn’t have to work every day?How would you spend your time?

The other day, I asked someone the same question in the email title:  What has to happen for you to Retire with confidence?  I was surprised by the answer that I received.

One of the biggest stumbling blocks I see people have is... Choosing the right time to invest their money, plan their lives, and take action.

The other day I had a fantastic meeting with a long time client of mine.  She said something that was very profound to me.  She had mentioned in passing that she had 0 days left on her retirement clock.

How long is your money going to last you? How long are you going to live for? How are you going to protect your assets if you become sick? These are the 3 main risks concerning retirees today.

Our brains are fascinating. Recently I read that we have 5 seconds to act on an idea. During those 5 seconds our brains try to protect us, or talk us out of making that decision.

There are going to be so many exciting new opportunities when everything is said and done here. Think about this... With layoffs comes opportunity.

Tough times, we are in. The global economy has slowed. We have been in our homes now for a couple weeks.

The other day I was talking with my friend and fellow entrepreneur Justin Breen. Justin has a life-changing connector company that allows people and companies to have their stories told throughout the world.

The other day I was on the phone with prospective client. I asked him how he was doing with the current market situation.

Happy Friday! I’ve got some exciting news to share with you! First, about a month ago Bloom Financial hired another team member. 

All have been quite negative over the past three weeks.  Would you agree?

Spending money brings joy to oneself.  Really think about how you are spending your money during your free time.

February 3rd, 2014.  I'll never forget that day.  I was 28 years old.  I just left the company that hired me right out of college.  I had no income and no clients.

Being consistent in saving and investing for your retirement can mean the world to your future retired self.  How often do you think about being a consistent investor outside of your 401(k) plan to save for your retirement?  

Well, this past Friday was quite a milestone for me.  I'm proud to let you know that I passed my last Retirement Income Certified Professional course through The American College!
